Reading Realplex files (ver 4.3.5)

GenEx is compatible with Realplex software. To take full advantage of the compatibility you should use Realplex template files for expression profiling. Select the appropriate template file and load your samples accordingly.
A tutorial how to create your own files or use template files and import the data directly to GenEx is available on:

Hello,

What happens if don't have a full 96-well plate? Usually, I set the wells as unknowns in the plate set up even though I don't have samples in those wells, just in case if I made a mistake in the set up (the format will not be "sample name, gene name"). Can I still import data to GenEx? As an aside, how can I analyze data (relative quantification) in the realplex software if I have one reference gene with 4 different target genes in triplicates (BUT I do not want to repeat the reference gene reactions for each target gene being measured as a subassay). It is greatly appreciated if someone can answer the above questions. Thanks!

Hi Sylvia

Concerning your Data import question I tested deleting samples from a full 96-well assay in RealPlex and the exported .txt file was imported into GenEx (5.2.3.13) without any issues so if you leave wells empty when setting up the run it should work as well, but the best way to know is simply to test it and get back if it does not work.

You can do the relative quantification in GenEx and I would recommend viewing the interplate calibrator tutorial at the MultiD website since it touches on the issues you had in your other question.
